Sustainability
Honest about where we are. Committed to where we're going.
Our Approach
Every product we make is designed to last. We use industrial-grade materials, precision manufacturing processes, and durable finishes that hold up over years of use. The goal is simple: build it once, build it right.
Laser-cut GI steel that resists bending and warping. Powder-coat finishes rated for scratch, chip, and fade resistance over years of exposure. Crystal-clear acrylic that maintains optical clarity long-term. 10mm tempered glass that's 4–5x stronger than standard glass.
Every material is chosen specifically for its strength, finish quality, and longevity.
We produce in small batches and inspect every piece individually before it ships. Each product goes through a multi-point quality check covering structural integrity, finish consistency, and packaging protection.
Packaging
All outer packaging is made from recycled corrugated cardboard. Inner protection uses moulded paper pulp inserts instead of styrofoam or plastic bubble wrap. Tape is paper-based and recyclable. Printed materials use soy-based inks on recycled stock.
Zero single-use plastics across our entire packaging line. No polystyrene, no plastic bags, no shrink wrap. Every component of our packaging can be recycled or composted in standard household recycling.
The unboxing still matters. We've worked hard to make sure that going sustainable doesn't mean going boring. Our packaging is designed to feel premium and protective — because the experience of receiving a WTC piece should be as considered as the piece itself.
Materials
Our spoiler shelves and furniture pieces use laser-cut GI steel and stainless steel — both of which are among the most recyclable materials on earth. Steel can be recycled indefinitely without losing strength or quality. Our powder-coating process is solvent-free and produces near-zero volatile organic compounds (VOCs).
Our deconstructed watch art uses crystal-clear acrylic layers. While acrylic isn't biodegradable, we've chosen it for its extreme durability and longevity — these pieces are built to last decades, not months. We're actively researching bio-based acrylic alternatives for future collections.
Tempered glass used in our coffee tables and display pieces is fully recyclable. All finishes, paints, and coatings are selected for low environmental impact and maximum product lifespan.
Supply Chain
The majority of our products are designed and manufactured in-house or with local fabrication partners. This keeps our supply chain short, reduces transportation emissions, and gives us direct control over quality and working conditions.
We work with a small number of trusted suppliers and manufacturers. Every partner is vetted for fair labour practices and safe working conditions. We don't mass-produce offshore to cut corners — we'd rather make fewer pieces at a higher standard.
We consolidate shipments wherever possible to reduce the number of individual deliveries. For domestic orders, we prioritise ground shipping over air freight. We're exploring carbon offset partnerships for international shipments.
Our Roadmap
We don't have all the answers yet — and we're not going to pretend we do. But here's what we're actively working towards:
- Transition to 100% recycled or bio-based inner packaging materials
- Complete carbon footprint audit across all product lines
- Introduce a product take-back programme for damaged or end-of-life pieces
- Source at least one bio-based acrylic alternative for new collections
We want every product we make to be fully recyclable or repairable by 2028. We want our entire supply chain — from raw material to your doorstep — to be transparent and auditable. And we want to prove that a design-first brand can also be a sustainability-first brand.
"We're not perfect. But we're building with intention — and we'll always tell you exactly where we stand."
